MMM Movie Review - ‘Under the Same Moon’

Considering the complicated nature of and disparate beliefs concerning the “hot button” issue, one might assume a film depicting the plight of illegal Mexican immigrants in the US would be politically charged. But Under the Same Moon (La Misma Luna) is simply a sweet drama, free of political assertions about amnesty or drivers licenses, that illustrates the uncontested fact that life for illegal immigrants is a constant struggle, especially for those separated from their families.
